FAQ's


How long are appointments?
Our sessions will be one hour.


How much do you charge? 
The usual and customary charge is $125.00 for a one hour session. 


Do you have a reduced fee sliding scale?

We can work on a sliding scale that takes into consideration your budget needs, what I can accept and we will try to find a happy balance between the two.  Once we decide on a comfortable fee, you’ll pay that each time we meet for a session.


How do I pay for sessions?
Payment can be made in cash, check, or credit card in session.


Do you accept insurance?
Currently we accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Magellan, Magellan EAP, Cigna, Aetna, Aetna EAP, Tri-care, Compsych, Beacon, Ceridian (lifeworks), MultiPlan, and Optum Behavioral Health (United Healthcare). We are in the contract application process for in network Tri-care (Humana Military).  Until then, we are an out-of-network provider for these and all other insurances.  What this means is that if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, you can send them your bill every month and they will send you back a check to reimburse you for some or all of the cost of our sessions together.  The best way to find out if you have this coverage is to find your insurance card, flip it over and call the “for members” number and ask.  There are still some things to sort out (like your deductible and co-insurances) but we are happy to walk you through how they work, what they mean and what you need to do on your end to get paid back.


Will I get charged if I cancel last minute?
Usually, yes, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy – meaning if you give us less than 24 hours head’s up before canceling your session, we’ll charge you.  We get that we tend to live busy lives – things come up last minute, its easy to get sick or to need to stay late at work sometimes.  If you have to cancel last minute but we are able to make up your session on another day that week, we won’t charge you.
